Our company is a 2nd generation, family owned and operated petroleum marketer. For over 46 years, our family has taken pride in servicing Agriculture, Commercial, Industrial, Home Heating & Lubricant customers located in the Southern/Southwest Ohio & Northern Kentucky geographical area. Hudson Oil is probably one of the area’s best keep secret’s, day and night we are delivering to some of the most mission critical operations of whom count on us to keep them fully operational no matter the time or season. (Hospitals, Bus Fleets, Cell Towers, Residential Homes, Power Plants, Waste Haulers, Agriculture, Trucking Companies, Backup Generators, Construction Sites, Law Enforcement and Municipality Fleets/Road departments. The Early Years
Hudson Fuel Oil was founded in 1971 by George & Barbara Hudson, George was unhappy with the service of his employer (Silver Oil) was giving to customers, he purchased a truck and started his own oil route on the east side of Cincinnati. George named his new company Hudson Fuel Oil, Inc. With the assistance from his wife Barbara, the company grew steadily. In the early 70’s the couple was joined by George’s father. Everett Hudson who drove one of the delivery trucks for George.
George and Barbara were young, innovative and not afraid to take risks. Hudson Fuel oil employed new strategies of customer service never seen before by any other heating oil dealer in the Cincinnati market. George has always been an entrepreneur at heart by starting up Daniel Boone campground, New Life Water and drilling and operating domestic oil wells in Kentucky. He has always preached the need for our country to be energy independent.
In 1998 George and Barbara turned over day to day operations of the company to son-in-law, T. David Carter. David has an extensive background in commercial banking and sales, David has guided Hudson Fuel Oil, Inc. through 6 acquisitions. (Action Fuel Oil, McFarland Oil, Milford Oil, Myers & Duckworth, Rogers Oil and Wolfe Oil) he has also, focused Hudson Fuel Oil, Inc. on new industries like Agriculture, Commercial, Fleet Fueling, Municipalities, DEF and Lubricants. Pursuing an ever expanding delivery area to which now includes 9 counties in Southwestern/Southern Ohio and 5 Counties in Northern Kentucky. David has always stressed keeping the customer’s needs our number one priority and focus. “We must always keep the main thing the main thing.”
